Dual Destinies is a great grab for any mobile gamer. More graphic novel than video game, the port features higher-quality animation than the original release, intuitive controls, and the same great storytelling. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies is better than its 3DS predecessor. Transitions between cases seem rushed, and previous plots are discarded for more pressing matters. Shaking continuity: Unlike previous games in the series, Dual Destinies' cases are well written but feel more like standalone stories than larger narratives. No 3D: The 3DS is a 3D-enabled screen with the iPad you get a higher-quality image but no additional dimension. Higher resolution: With the iPad you get a higher-resolution picture than the original game on the Retina Display: 2,048 x 1,536 pixels on the iPad over the even larger 800 x 240 pixels on the 3DS XL. We actually preferred the game on the iPad. Optimized control: Originally optimized for the Nintendo 3DS (which featured a dual-screen touch interface), Dual Destinies' new iOS port is seamless.
